"Zernyatko" was founded in 1990 by Raisa Zakletska, whose twenty years experience of professional concert activity in the National Hrehoriy Veryovka choir inspired her to start a center of excellence for child creativity. The first triumph of the ensemble was the success in winning the television contest "Debut" the same year by the pioneers of the ensemble: Ivanna and Anna Zakletska, Yuliya Kravchenko, Olga Korotchuk, Kateryna Golubchuk, Anna Starenchenko, Inna Anisimova and Denys Koshlyak.
As a result of their great professionalism and creativity, the children were presented with the opportunity to tour Europe. During this tour the ensemble performed in Turkey, Greece, Italy, France and Spain.
During the period of time since "Zernyatko" was formed, it has visited Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, Georgia, Poland, the USA, Japan, France, Turkey, Italy, Ireland, Holland, Portugal and Luxemburg.
